Excellent article on the issue of overpricing real estate listings. We take some exception with the categorization that open houses do not have value, as open houses in Green Valley AZ are quite popular and educational. Most of our buyers are not familiar with the real estate market here and open houses give them the opportunity to see the differences in homes and neighborhoods.

But, the rest of the article is spot on. We aren’t always successful at listing presentations because an owner wants so badly to hear that there is more value in their home than the market dictates. And, they don’t realize the value of a targeted, multi-faceted marketing effort.
